I just go online to a Bible study website, and look up cross-references to the passage. For John 3:17-18 there were several within the Gospel of John itself: John 6: 29, 57; 10:36; 11:42; 17:8, 21; 20:21. Which is not surprising since John mostly presents Jesus' divinity.
In the OT, Isaiah 53:11 references what Jesus says, "He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, For He shall bear their iniquities."
Lord,
Thank you for coming to save us and take our sins, You did not come to condemn us, You came to redeem us!
