Living to impress the King

Isaiah 9:6-7

"For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder.  And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgement and justice from that time forward, even forever.  The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this."

He is mighty to save and his judgements are always just.

I have been meditating on Psalm 25: 4-7 this week.  I made a point to look it up because my mom has asked me to do the honor of reading one of the Scripture readings at Grandma's catholic church this Friday.  But I will now actually be reading from Malachi.  But Psalm 25 just caught me.

verse 4 says; "Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths"

What do I do with my rebelliousness?  My anger or hurt? Or my emotional pain or stress?

"Show me Your ways, O Lord, teach me Your paths"

What do I do with my doubts? My fears?

verse 5 says, " guide me in Your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long."

My doubts  - Show me Your ways, Lord
My fears - Teach me Your paths
My failures - Guide me in Your truth, God my Savior

Merry Christmas, everyone!! This year let us ask Him to show us, teach us, and guide us in His ways, paths, and truth!  He is a righteous God, who will answer your prayers!!

I recommend Amazima

Our generation's Mother Theresa, I am so humbled, Katie inspires me to grow and change in the Lord's love.

"I have learned that I will not change the world. Jesus will do that. I can, however, change the world for one person. So I keep stopping and loving one person at a time. Because this is my call as a Christian." Katie Davis
